She will crawl as fast as she can to get to Ethan. When he comes down in the morning she giggles and races for him. He loves to play with her know too. He puts his arms under her armpits and makes her fall on top of him. Then she tries to crawl up his chest to get to his hair. I'm not sure what the obsession with his hair is but she is always trying to pull it or eat it. He thinks it is hilarious.

She doesn't eat baby food anymore. She loves flavorful food. The more spices the better for her. She has tried everything we've eaten including a little juice from some chili. The one food she doesn't like that Ethan loved is mashed potatoes. I think they are to bland. She does love bananas like her brother though. She has figured out how to use her sippy straw cup. She still has to think about it though.

Avery loves to have someone walk her around. When we go to the park she will have me walk her chubby little legs around everywhere. The park at our new house has a few toys on the walls of the slides. She knows where these are now and will go straight to them and play for 10 minutes then have me walk her somewhere else. When she is really excited she can do a little run-walk.

She is so aware of everything. Last night in the bath Ethan was putting baby shampoo in his hair. He would then flatten his hair down and say he was Superman. She grabbed a bottle of conditioner and held it up to her head and giggled. She repeats noises we make. Her new trick is to put her hands on her head, we say "Where's Avery", and she drops her hands down. She thinks she is hot stuff. What is so cute is that her hands only cover her eyes about once every 50 tries. We know when she is trying to do it because she always puts the back of her hands on her head.

When we are out shopping she gets so much attention. Her eyes are so big and blue people can't help but stare. Once she notices she has someones attention she will do cute little faces. If the person comes toward her though she looks at me as if to say Mom don't let them touch me! If I'm holding her she ducks her head into the crook of my neck then peaks out to see if they are still admiring her from afar.

Her hair is getting longer, thicker and curlier. It is such sweet hair. It isn't quite as blonde as Ethan's but so much lighter than when she was born. Her sides have started growing this month and are now over her ears. The top and sides have started to thicken up as well. The back is thick and has started to curl. It is so sweet. I think by her first birthday her sides will have caught up to the back and be curly too. It will be exciting to see.
